All the above devices offer out of the box support in Ubuntu 7.10 8.04 and 8.10, GOS, Puppy, Debian 4 and 5, Fedora 9 and 10 and Puppy Linux. Scripts available for most other distributions.Although we haven't tried every flavour, it's pretty fair to say that, provided you aren't using a really old version of the Linux kernel we can almost certainly get wireless up and running using devices supplied by The Linux Emporium. So which is best?For sheer coverage and flexibility the Edimax high gain is hard to beat. With it's extension lead and positionable aerial, range and signal strength are excellent. What about Windows support?If you dual boot to a legacy OS like XP or Vista, Edimax devices also come with an Edimax supplied install disk for Windows.
